The Patan High Court is hearing the appeal filed by rape convict Sandeep Lamichhane, former captain of the Nepali national cricket team, against the decision of the Kathmandu District Court.

Last Monday, the scheduled cases in the bench of Patan High Court judges Sudarsan Dev Bhatta and Purushottam Prasad Dhakal were postponed, with the hearing now set for today.

Lamichhane, convicted by the Kathmandu District Court for coercion, had lodged an appeal in the High Court of Patan, opposing the Government of Nepal’s decision.
