The throwback moment dates back to a Facebook post on a special #GlobalTigerDay, celebrated during the Year of the Tiger.

DiCaprio, known for his passionate stance on environmental issues, expressed his happiness and congratulations to Nepal for fulfilling its commitment to double the wild tiger population by 2022. At the time of the announcement, Nepal had confirmed a substantial increase, with the tiger count rising from 121 in 2010 to an impressive 355.

The actor applauded Nepal’s dedication to wildlife preservation and acknowledged the challenges that accompany such successes. DiCaprio emphasized the importance of addressing potential conflicts between humans and the growing tiger population, showcasing his concern for safe co-existence.
